I know someone has done this, jut can't remember whom. Do you have a mag scrubber that you have converted into a frag rack? If so, please tell me how you attached the eggcrate to the scrubber. I am almost in emergency mode to get this done.

You tried super glue or zip ties?

Not sure what type of emergency it is, but personally it costs as much to purchase a new mag float as it would to purchase one of those Da Kine frag racks from Mr Cobs Corals website.

And definitely more aethsethically appealing than mag frag rack ;)

+1 on the Da Kine frag racks from Mr Cobs Corals. It will cost more to DIY. I built one and it looked sweet but it could not hold much weight because the magfloat was not strong enough to hold it up so it kept falling. The Wet Actylic racks have strong magnets and saves you alot of trouble. Good luck to you. BTW I used maring epoxy from HD to glue mine together.

MAN! So funny....I was cleaning out the garage today and guess what I threw away...? HAHAHa...yep my old mag float rack. I would have given it to you if I saw this sooner.

Here's the old thread from the cheesy racks...but the pics are gone.

Like Ismael already suggested, I used zip ties

epoxy and super glue works just smash it down let it dry for 30-60 min. apply super glue to mag float them the epoxy and then more glue on top of epoxy and then smash the crate down on top while poxy is still soft you can even add more epoxy to top to build it up

Sorry, guys. Yeah, I realize it is kinda redneck to build a magscrubber frag rack, and yes, I realize that magscrubbers are a big expense. I already have the magscrubber - an old, worn out one- and a whole sheet of eggcrate, so, it would be cheap, cheap, cheap.

It's a pseudo-emergency because I am out of space on my other frag rack, and...yeah! Understand?

This is an eggrate rack made with these PVC hooks, and some flex tubing top and bottom to hold it on the hangars.

Couple weeks I'll be looking to upgrade the infrastructure. Know anyone that makes really high quality, nice looking racks?

Kidding Rob...I'll need one that's is a through the glass magnetic, not any kind of hang on. If you know the side glass width of a 29g BioCube, that's the one I will need. It can't go too far out into the tank. LMK
