Besides our name getting out to more people what other benefits do you think it could provide Rob? Is there anything we would be obligated too?

I will try to start a discussion with the other members of the marketing committee as soon as I can.

well, reeftools is a site that members frequently post/link to on here showing something new in our hobby....there's no real benefit other than putting our name out there. The more people know of us and about us the better lined up we will be if we ever do decide to host a MACNA, we are obviously light years away from that but just saying.

Anyways....it's just another place to plug our site like we have on reef central. I guess you could say it won't hurt us in anyway to add us. There are no obligations and no big deal if we get added or not...I just spent some time on their site the other day and noticed they had a "Reef Club Forums" and thought it would be cool if we were added.

I think this is intended for small clubs that don't have their own sites. But, not really sure.

^no, the site is "Reef Tools", "Your Online Reef Community". It's like "Reef Central". It's a competitor site...perhaps not directly but it's a place to bring hobbyists and clubs together online. Only difference is Reef Tools is newer and has more features but obviously less traffic.

The thought behind adding us is the same reason we are added to reef central.

Reef Addicts is Marc Levenson's (Melev) site. Under the group section, many local reef clubs have already joined. If you click on the groups tab you will not be able to view it unless you sign up.

Reef Addicts and Reef Tools are two great places that I keep seeing pop up online ALL the time. Want to network a little...? Well, then join both of these sites.

Let me look into it a ittle more. I will get some input and/or ask some more questions. They look like good viable soources to get information and the MAAST name out some more.
