Has anyone ever seen or heard of anything eating the power cords. Was doin a little maint. and noticed the cord was gnawed through and copper was exposed...
I'm thinking that my pin cushion urchin did it. but not sure....
any ideas?

What fish do you have? Some triggers are known for doing that...

The only fish that are in there are a juv. koran angel, diamond goby, and a starry blenny...

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the urchin....I had pencil urchins race through encrusting montiporas and foam! John firewater also had the urchin/foam problem. Makes you think twice about holding them in your palm too long. lol!

yes definitely, might chew a hole in your hand. lol but looks like i'll be finding the urchin a new home cant be buying new fans every month......

have we lost sight of the main issue here? one day ur doing a routine water change next thing u know you your house doesnt have electricity anymore because its ALL GOING THOUGH YOUR BODY! :eek:!! be careful, it might be time to invest in vortechs :)

those are pretty cool, havent heard of the vortechs before. But i just ran a piece of plastic tubing over the power wire so if it chews through that i can just replace it again, no biggie.
