Against my better judgement I acquired a Rose Bubble Tip Anemone. The anemone is fine (actually very hardy lineage), but I'm leaving town soon and I don't trust this guy in my tank without watching him closely - therefore the first $50 takes him home.

SOLD!

do you have a pic and what size?

No pic, I'm at work. I would call him medium sized. When retracted his base is around the size of a soda can (circumference - not height) - I estimate he gets around the size of your hand when fully extended.

Can you place it in a container and leave the container in the tank. Or in the sump.

Actually, I never really thought of this. It would have to be a container with holes, but not too big were the RBTA could get out. Have you done this before? Hmmm...

So just set it on the bottom of the tank and it should be fine? I noticed he's kind of shy right now and adjusting, I've only had him since Sunday. It's gone into a shaded area then slowly comes out - like it's testing the lighting. I worried if I leave him in direct light, it will stress him out.

I just called petsmart and they have a 5 or 7 inch clear ball - and they are cheap. This just might be crazy enough to work.

I bought the ball, but came home only to find him in the best place possible. I'm gonna watch him and if he gets feisty, in the ball he goes...but maybe, just maybe, I'll take the chance.

BTW, RBTA is still for sale.

If you have one that's from a long captive lineage (like mine), they usually are VERY hardy. Shoot, mine are real tough to kill - almost as tough as aptasia.

LOL, thats what I've been told. I mean the owner really made a point on how tough this guy is. Also, I was happy to see there wasn't any coral damage throughout the day. He was rubbing on my pink panther and purp death colony in the morn., and they look just fine this evening.
