Live phyto, live rotifers, 6 day old artemia

our classroom food chain is now producing more than we can use, so i will have these live foods to give away every two or three days. it will be free to anyone who can pick up in a timely manner. donations are not necessary but certainly appreciated.

what we have cultures of:

Nanochloropsus - about a liter every other day (maybe more)
Live rotifers - about a liter every other day (fed with nano paste and live phyto)
6 day old artemia (approximate age) - fed with live rotifers and live phyto from our cultures

some of the things we could use:

salt
small tanks
air pumps/tubing/stones/valves
small powerheads
brood fish for our breeding project (clowns, sea horses, pipefish, blennies, bangai cards, jawfish, etc.)
easy coral frags for our coral prop project (gsp, polyps, shrooms, leathers, zoas, palys, euphyllia, gorgos, etc.)
larvae or eggs harvested from your breeding fish

salt - 200g bucket of Oceanic and 50g bag of IO
air pumps/tubing/stones/valves - a bit of 1/4 tubing.
small powerheads - a new 190g pondmaster, and an old whatever you use on the Two Little Fishies phosban reactors.
brood fish for our breeding project (clowns, sea horses, pipefish, blennies, bangai cards, jawfish, etc.) - Maybe chromis
larvae or eggs harvested from your breeding fish - I'm hoping for picassos, but since I changed the lights they stopped Give me a 4" X 20" piece of acrylic and I will try and harvest the chromis eggs that usually cover the entire back left side of the tank. They are laying again right now.

Not sure I have time to swing by for a while since the kids will be in town for the holidays, but if you want to pick up give me a call (475-3934 is my home #, cell phone # is changing). You can rumage through the junk and see if there is anything else you can use.

No problemo, I have more pink birds nest sps than I know what to do with, and the same goes for a few zoas, so if you'd be interested, you're more than welcome to those, they're growing currently pretty steadily under my T5's, so I'd assume they'd grow under nearly anything...

I have my clowns laying eggs inside a coffee cup. I think she laid a new batch last night. Kristy, You want to take some eggs to him since you are going that way? I'd love some Phyto and fresh rotifers.

I will happily pick up the rotifers too and divide up with Marcus. Amazing clownfish you have, Marcus and how cleverly trained to spawn the eggs into the coffee cup! Mike and I were feeding his tank over the holiday and I was starting to worry Sunday evening that the female clownfish was missing at feeding time. Then the male left the anemone to swim into the coffee cup and alert her that I had fed the tank and she emerged from the cup, swam right over to get some food for them both. Absolutely amazing to watch!

yes, when we have surplus i will post again. corals love this stuff - not just filter feeders...

atm, we are trying to double our phyto cultures and let our roti cultures recover a bit, so we will not have any surplus this week.

yep, they can be added to your tank to feed the corals. they are also needed in raising fry if you have fish that are breeding.

shutting this down until next school year, so i will have gallons of phyto and rotifers on Sunday. what ever is not picked up on
Sunday will go down the drain. these cultures have been running several months, so we will start with new cultures in august is i will likely be giving it away again shortly thereafter. if you would like to pick some up on Sunday, call for availability and directions.

you can have the two cultures that i just restarted. it is about two gallons that are fairly dense. i will leave them running in my classroom until Sunday morning, at which time i will pour them in a bucket and you can pick them up at my house.
