I love the solution you came up with for my new LED Fixture.
It looks very clean and classy. :applause:

What do you guys think about my new DIY Seahorse LEDs?

(still will trim the hanging kit wires once it's over the new tank and the clutter behind will move into the sump)

The LED itself was built by txg8gxp. Thank You Both!!!

Glad you liked it!! It was cool to know that I had a part in building something that was going on one of your awesome tanks!!!

How did you hang your fixture to the ceiling?

with a hanging kit (look at the list of stuff I provided you with -it includes the hanging kit and its source -rapidled if I remember right)

I had a totally complicated way of attaching that figured out but then Jack was able to brilliantly simplify that!

Yeah, I got the same hanging kit. I am trying to figure out if I am missing something because it looks like I will have to buy hooks to screw into the ceiling to hang the...... "hanging kit" on

Yes you are missing something.
You just need a screw to screw the little cylinder to the ceiling. Then you screw the little plate into the cylinder. The cable hangs out of that.
All you should add is the screw -not a hook.
Unless they changed it.
I'll take a picture of it really quick. Be right back. :)

Like this. Looks actually identical to the ATI hangers IMO

Did you receive those parts? Or did they change the kit?

It came with screws for the heat sink part, but not for the ceiling... strange. I couldn't figure out where I would add the screw. Your picture was perfect, thanks!

Yes it's a 'provide your own ceiling screw' kit. :) Probably because you have several options there (like the ones that flip out if you don't have a stud there and have to rely on dry wall to hold it)
