How wonderful, I have ich in my tank. Yay me. For those of you who have had to trap fish out of your tank, do ya have any advice? I have myself a fish trap, which has been installed in the tank. I took the door off and put some mysis in there, thinking that my fishes would get used to the trap that way and make them easier to catch. Does anyone see a flaw in that plan? I know it will probably take some time, but that's ok. The ich isn't bad...........yet. Breaking the tank down isn't an option, because my rocks are epoxied together and there is no way to get them out. Fishes in need of capture are: Temmincks Wrasse, Blue Eye Kole Tang, Scooter Blenny, two Damsels and a Coral Beauty. The Wrasse and the Scooter are all about the food in the trap, already been in several times. Maybe they will show the others?
I am going to let the tank sit fallow for 8 weeks while I do hyposalinity treatment on my fish in my QT. If anyone has suggestions, I surely would love to hear them.
Edited: The tank is question is a 72g mixed reef with tons of coral......way too much to attempt the two net catch method. And yes, I know where the ich came from. I was stupid and didn't quarantine.
