Thanks everyone, and yes I call it practice. I'm just now starting to remember what button does what when I pick up the camera. I need to start using it for now on and leave my point and shoot alone.

Nah point and shoots are good too! I just picked mine back up.

I want to take pics like these but don't want to invest a whole lot of cashola into it. Any sugestions on point and shoot cameras that are relatively affordable and take great shots?

BTW great pics, especially the 2nd set!
