Got our first additions to the tank yesterday evening, a Royal Gramma and an O. Clown. The RG is still in hiding as of this morning. I was thinking he'd come out at feeding. I plan to feed then daily at around 6:00 pm when I get home from work.
Trying to make feeding simple for now, so I'd like to stick to pellets. Gabe sold me some pellet food for them, see attached, about 3-4 pellets each daily.
Is this food any good, as far as pellets go?
Should I turn off the pumps & power heads for feeding?
The clown is active but the RG is still hiding, how can I be sure it's eating?

Its probably not going to eat for the first few days. It might even eat at night after the lights go out. Some fish are shy and it takes some getting used to before they come out and feed with the other fish. Dont worry about feeding at night because then you might end up with water quality issues due to over feeding. When its ready it will come out and eat.

i wouldnt turn the powerheads off and only would turn the skimmer off if it is sucking up all the food or causing excessive bubbles
both should love the cyclopeez but i would look for some frozen, enriched mysis for both of those fish. they are primarily meat eaters

+1 on the frozen mysis
You just thaw out a cube at a time in a little saltwater. You won't need to feed a whole cube to those two fish, but can keep a cup of it in the fridge if you cover it in plastic wrap. I'd probably feed those two fish about 20 of those tiny little shrimps a day (just eyeball it) and I'd split it into two feedings for a while as they are getting their feeding going and your tank continues to stabilize with the bioload.

My fish LOVE the dianichi.. I've got that one, and the red one, and alternate feeding daily, and then every few days add brine, mysis, or whatever else i have in the freezer (with Fuel, and Coral Frenzy)... I've also just gotten a royal gramma, and he seems to be eating the pellets just fine... Good luck!!

Could I just defrost the a cube and refrigerate the rest of the cube to use over a few days, or will it go bad?
