WOW, I lost my LARGE GARF Bonzi today that I have had for years, AND my favorite Diver's Den SPS. Not really an emergency any more, it's too late. I moved the Bonzi about a month ago and the DD was next to it. I think it was the change in light and flow, but really don't know. I've fragged what I could and dipped in Coral Rx and then FW. Don't know if any of it will make it.

Ugh... I'm so sorry. I appear to be in the process of losing a favorite chalice myself so I can relate, but a nice SPS that's been thriving for years... Must be heartbreaking!

It's one of those things, they loved where they were and I had to change it up. Stupid me! They didn't ever ACT the same after the move (yes my corals act for me) so I had a feeling something wasn't right but didn't act on that feeling cause to me they were all in the prefect spot (for my enjoyment). Anyway, did not expect what I saw today, overnight RTN.

Wow. So sorry. That stinks (and makes me not even want to bother with SPS)

It does stink (SPS stinks a lot actually). I've gone through similiar things with other stuff though. For a while I couldn't grow a mushroom or leather if you paid me to.
Kristy, are you trying to treat your challice or just watching it.

OH that is a heartbreaker! Such a pretty coral....

It started to turn white a few days ago in a spot where it was touching a rock, so I thought there might be cyano on the rock and did an overdue water change, scrubbed the rock free of cyano, and moved the coral so that it was no longer touching it, then held my breath to watch and wait.
A couple of days have passed and the white has spread to about 40%. Today we are going to frag off some of the healthy stuff and light a candle. This procedure never seems to work for me.

Ps: we haven't really done anything about it because yesterday we discovered water seeping out of the bottom trim area of almost half the 210g. Suddenly my dying chalice is not such an emergency and I am also feeling VERY sick in my gut. :(

Man that sucks, have you change anything in the tank lately?

Us? Nothing noteworthy. We're considering our options today.

That is not good at all. Have you wipe that area and see if water coming back?. Make sure to check your plumbing is not the cause of it..Good luck , please keep us update.

I hope it's just leaking plumbing (happened to me a couple of times -total freak out!)
Not another leaking tank! That would be horrible :(

Thanks, Giau. Yeah, we have wiped it up and it's definitely coming back and there's no other explanation that could be causing it that we can find so we are very concerned.
Yesterday we left the house for a couple of hours and I was terrified that we might come home to a burst tank and 200g oh water on the floor.

Thanks for the well wishes. If, well I guess it's when it comes to that, we will definitely let everyone know and be asking for some loaner equipment I'm sure.

Thanks Ace, fortunately I made a small frag from the bonzi last month when I moved it so I at least have that. They grow so slow though, it will be years before it looks like that one did.
