Has anybody seen tanks lid with LED colors other than white/blue?

I am really into the mood lighting thing ever since the shadow box. I was watching the mandarins doing their little spawing dance and the only light left was the greenish glow from the shadow box.

wertheimber just mentioned the golden glow in his thread. That's really what that greenish glow from the shadowbox reminds me off.
I love it. I think it's perfect.
My big Caribbean Reef tank is lit with T5s but the little seahorse tank will get LEDs.

I already ordered all of the components. All of them except the actual LEDs...

I just can't make up my mind

My Caribbean reef still has a lot of blue in it. I was looking for a feeling/mood rather than best coral fluorescence and all that technical stuff.
I wanted it to feel like a diving adventure in the Caribbean.

With the seahorse tank I'd love to get an even more laid back feeling. Like exploring the seagrass 'forests' in an estuary. Something really green comes to mind.

I know I don't want cool whites. But in addition to the neutral whites and royal blues, should I play it save and just add some warm whites? Or venture out and put a couple of greens in the very back to see if I can 'fake' a shadowbox glow? Or do you think it would be obvious and goofy looking?

What do you suggest? And if you have any examples with picture of tank lit with anything other than blue/white I'd love to see them!

you could add some RGB's and change them up as you feel.

I want to add a length of these to the outside trim on the bottom of my tank and let it cycle through the colors to add some ambience to the tank. These even come with a remote control to change the light modes.

I'm going to set mine to Rammstein. "Du Hast" set to these LED's would be awesome!

CoryDude convinced me to go with warm white and call it a day. lol
I really don't want to change it into lots of colors, etc. I was just looking for a greenish glow. Yellow and blue make green of course so warm white and royal blue might be just right and less adventurous.

Well Karin, so you're saying I have wacky tastes? Oh well, to each his own.

The color change is just one option. What I liked about these led's is that you can change the colors. It'll give me more options to set the ambient lighting to match my tastes for the day.

Can you change the pulsing so that it stays 1 color for several hours, without having to change it?

I don't know if it will slow down that much. I believe his demo showed it slowing down to several seconds and even minutes. I wasn't even going to use the pulse mode. I just wanted to ability to select different colors depending on my frame of mind. Kind of like a mood ring for my fish tank.

J/K Karin. My wife does the same thing when she asks my opinion on a dress. Whichever one I pick, she goes with the other.
