Im planning a trip to austin very soon and was wondering if you guys could help me out and let me know which stores are highly recommended.. Im looking primarily for corals, not really fish, a few corals im interested in would be acans, chalices, rare zoas, scolys, ricordeas... So please, if anybody who has first hand experience with austin saltwater stores please chime in and offer some advice...

Thanks so much,
Robert

I have been wanting to check out the AquaDome. When they post their shipments it always sounds like they have an amazing selection of stuff I like. lol

Aquadome for South Austin and Aquatek for North Austin. They were my favorites when I lived there. For acans, call Austin Aqua Farms to see if they're open while you're there.

Be sure to check out the back tank at the Dome, it's usually loaded with primo LPS including an impressive lineup of scolys. Aquatek and RiverCity are also good stops if you're heading north of the river.

AAF is usually only open on Saturdays for only a limited no. of hours.

Aquatek is my favorite. But since you are up there stop at all, they are not that far apart.

River City Aquatics is good for coral and fish selection plus I like the way its set up. It reminds me of a warehouse/gallery
AquaDome is a very unique place with all freshwater downstairs and all saltwater upstairs. The saltwater section although small is pretty impressive.
