I'm currently moving everything from my 175g to a 40g breeder and a 29g. I'm really worried about it not being enough space for my fish. Here's my current stock list:

yellow tang
kole tang
blue damsel
yellow tail damsel
clown
mystery wrasse
flame hawk
mandarin
2X engineer gobies
4X chromis

Do you all think they'd be alright in those tanks for a few days while I figure something out?

I'm thinking I'll put the yellow tang, clown, mystery, hawk, mandarin and 1 goby in the 40B and everything else in the 29g. I know things are gonna be tight but I don't have a choice unless I put everything in two 40G trashcans. God this sucks. :hypnotyized:

I think I got it but thanks very much for the offer. I have all fish and inverts in my 40B and 29G. Most of the LR is also in there but I have some in a trashcan with a heater. I'm still draining the tank and need to get the sand out. As far as what happened, your guess is as good as mine. At about 7PM, I noticed a puddle of water on the floor in front of my stand. I then found water in the corner where the tank meets the wall. I cleaned up what I could and quickly discovered it was leaking from the bottom back of the tank where the trim is. I hadn't touched the tank yesterday or today so no idea what went wrong. The worst part about the whole thing is stressing my fish. I feel terrible for them. Draining the tank and doing a whole bunch of work has been exhausting but my fish's health is my biggest concern. I hope to get a new tank by this weekend and move stuff in. I think having a ton of LR in the holding tanks will prevent too much of an ammonia build up. Do you guys think they'll be alright for a few days?

Instead of buying a new tank, why not break it down and see if Gabe can have it resealed for you? I know hes done this in the passed for others. A lot less $$ than buying a new tank.

A new tank was the best investment we made. :) We parted ways with a few things (consolidated) lol.. and were able to purchase our 240.. :)

Yeah, I'm going to buy brand new this time. Since I feel pretty burned after buying this tank six months ago and having a leak already, I can't bring myself to go with something used. And yes, I'm already selling off some stuff to afford the tank I want. :)
