I'd like to see a NPS (Non-Photosynthetic Corals) contest. Not many of us have any experience with NPS corals or have any for that matter. I think doing a NPS contest would be educational at the same time. Would be interesting to see how feeding would impact the growth.

The issue I see with SPS is that not everyone keep them. Different reasons- Some see them as sticks and like more movement, some cant support them with their current lighting, some just do not monitor their system enough to keep them or rather do not run the essentials in order to keep SPS happy.

Ive really enjoyed the CandyCane contest, but I know not everyone who particiated post as they should or as the rules stated.

Personally Id like to see something out of the ordinary or as Rob mentioned a NPS. Ive never kept NPS and that would be very interesting to see the outcome.

NPS would be nice, but I would think SPS would be easier for people. I'm game for anything though....

I am not familiar with NPS. Guess I need to go look at them. I am not partial to anything specific, but I love this idea.

NPS are animals/coral that do not rely on light for food. They have to be feed or have a food source in the water.

Yea, I didn't find the thread for some time and then when I did my Frag got stung by another one and I lost two heads. I was new to MAAST at the time and not familiar with the site.

I would like a rematch since I have tons of Kryptonite candy kanes, but the official one was hurt. It has about 4 heads now. I believed I would have won that one. ;-)

My vote is for Duncans. But I need to get my charter membership in first though...

Duncans would be fun and easy to "judge".

I don't like the idea of duncans. I already have this. I bought a 1 Duncan head about 8 months ago and it's about 10 heads now. I would like to do something different. Like zoas.

I don't like duncans, personally. Maybe some kind of zoanthid or acan?

Duncans aren't my favorite either, but it would be very easy to judge. I'd like to participate.

If it is SPS...

I can donate 15-20, 3/4"-1" frags of a fast growing, easy to keep, purplish/bluish Acro. Someone would have to help me frag though.

Just saying. :D
