8 g biocube light problem

well when i turn on my light it struggles to turn on then turns right off
i know its not burned out cuz it stayed on for 1 min then turn off.
how do i fix this problem

How old is the bio cube? Is it still under warranty, contact your local vendor to see if they have a replacement ballast? If the lamps are around 1 year old it would not hurt to change them either. Another idea is if you can take the whole hood back to the store where you bought it and they can try different things for you.

bio cubes are nortorious for bad ballast, i know this i owned 5 at one time, i had a workhorse 2 or 3 on biocube 8

where can i buy a new ballast for the 8 g bc

online, i havent seen anyone carry these instock workhorse 2 is 35 watts and the 3 is 65 so remember with the 3 it will over drive i did it no prob but not saying it was smart idea to over drive them heres a link to the company site you can input what bulbs and it gives you wiring diagram for 2x18 it suggest the workhorse 3 and others http://www.fulham.com/Find_Process.php
