I bought this tank a while back and just fit the rocks together without destroying the coral and without any design..... and it sucks! Just a big lump of rock and I don't like it. Could you guys post some pictures of your rockwork designs?

Should probably post a picture of yours so we know what we're working with here. :)

I will also be getting a 3-5 inch maxima clam so I will be wanting a space for that. I'll get some pictures in a bit once my camera battery charges up a bit. In the mean time, feel free to post your aquascapes.

Some pictures from my tank build...

Used Great Stuff and Starboard to build my rock structure. The entire structure can be removed from my tank as one piece.

I did a one piece (sort of) construction as well with dry rock and nylon rods (see here) (http://www.maast.org/showthread.php?59626-Rocks-Rods-and-Nuts-finished-pic-p.-2)

I covered the overflow boxes with rock/mortar structure (see here (http://www.maast.org/showthread.php?61000-Foam-Free-Backdrop-Project))

And this is what the tank looks like now (see here (http://www.maast.org/showthread.php?60476-215g-Caribbean-Inspired-Reef))

I like urchins so no foam for me :)

alot of us hate our aquascaping, only one way to get it right is get your hands wet and arrange till your happy. dont wait to long like i did, then its all grown out and limits where you can move stuff too or you break coral and fill up your frag rack on accident

Here is our aquascaping when we first set up our 240gal. We're pretty happy with it...

I think its most important to try and make your rocks like they fit together like a puzzel, that way it doesnt look like you just stacked and walked away. As Chris mentioned once corals are involved this becomes much more difficult because you do not want to break, hide, crush etc...

I really like LPS that require a sand bed so I wanted to be sure to have a ton of open space. I also foamed the back and right sides because I hate that boring flat back.. The foam adds such good dimension..

Here are two tanks I LOVE.. The first one is something I would like to recreate its just stunning with that "ally" down the middle of the tank. Both are my backgrounds

Jarob those aquariums are amazing. You can no longer even see the rock, been engulfed in coral.
