I bought of nice 2.5 inch orange plate coral at LMAR and would like to see about trading it to someone. I paid $30 for it and the vendor said it would normally go for $40-$50.

Our diamond goby keeps covering it with sand and it doesn't really fit with the other tanks. So anyone interested in trading anything?

For my sorta fowlr I would take mushrooms or some other hardy stuff of equal value. Large hermits would also be good. Let me know what you have. Thanks.

Ill trade! I've been looking for a small orange plate for a long time!! Ive got a ton of stuff I could trade for and Ive got cash! Ive got a rock with about 6 large frilly mushrooms, a large rock covered in pink star polyps and a large leather, a huge 12" rock covered with pulsing xenia and gsp among other corals/frags. Theres lots of pics in my 40g build thread in the nano section.

Let me know,

Jarob

Hi Jarob,

That sounds like some good possibilities. Mike was looking over my shoulder and was especially interested in some combination of pulsing xenia and/or frilly mushrooms (not necessarily your whole huge rock, but if you could get a couple loose, etc.)... whatever you think would be a fair trade. We mostly just want to make sure we don't do harm to this nice orange plate coral!

I'm attaching a CRUMMY cell phone picture of the coral after it has been freshly unearthed from the sand. You can see Screech, our charismatic diamond goby, ambitiously planning to cover it once more!

Any thoughts about how we would make this trade from Corpus to San Antonio?

Either my roommate or myself will be going to San Antonio within the next few days. I was actually thinking about breaking up the rock anyways so I can get a nice big combination together for you. Oh and its beautiful!!! EXACTLY what Ive been wanting, I love plates..

Not to hijack mikes thread, but are you wanting to rid yourself of the pink star polyps? Uh, not for me of course. Was thinking the wife would like it. :)

Ive got 3 colonies of them, all of which are bigger than a softball, so I could always bring extra to san antonio!

Hey I love my pink star polyps! Theres a nice mat of them in the back corner on the overflow, it adds great movement to the tank with the wavemaker!
