All my inverts died overnight, two cleaner shrimp, sally lightfoot, pom pom crab and a lobster. My blue hippo tang and two clowns also died. This is out of the blue. My clams, snails and hermit crabs are ok. I have a diamond goby left in my 45g. My tank stats are ph 8.1, NO2 is 0, NH3/4 is 0, N03 is 10, SG 1.023 sh, temp 76.
Anyone know what is going on?

my first guess (and it really is one) would be some type of contaminant. maybe a surface cleaner or something on your hands when you put them into the tank yesterday (assuming you did)? did your circulation pumps, etc. get turned off, possibly creating low oxygen levels?

Did you do a water change yesterday?
Do you have anything that releases toxins when it dies that would have done it?

Ace, they have been in the tank for months and were doing great. Remember I was battling the cyano issue. I have been blasting and regulating my lights and feeding. That is going well BTW - thanks for the info. Next thng I know everyone id dying. I have a emerald crab and the goby left. Should I change out some water? Half or a quarter if so?

you may want to start running some carbon, or change out the carbon you are running to some fresh carbon if you are already using it. also, pick up some poly-filter and put it in a high flow area. it is really good at removing contaminants and i think changes color depending on what it filters out, so it may give you a clue as to what happened. a few big water changes over the next few days may be a good idea also.

oh, another thing to do is take your water in to an lfs to get it tested, just to double check and make sure your test kits are accurate.

find some poly filter, the one that changes colors as it removes stuff might help figure out whats going on
