Is there such a thing? I saw what appears to be a flatworm in my 12G nanocube. The only corals in there are zoas, palys and mushrooms. Is it anything to fret over?

Some pictures would help tremendously! What color are they? Try to explain.

They look like flat worms. :P I saw it crawling on the glass yesterday but it appears top be eating algae. It was a brownish color. I haven't seen any of them on corals. Just thought I'd ask so I'd know to keep a close on them. They're not Nudi's because I've had to deal with them before.

Are they more roundish? They may be red flatworms that are harmless but they can cover corals if overpopulated and deprive the corals from the light they need to live, grow, and thrive. Just try to suck them out with a turkey baster or when you are doing water changes, suck them out with airline tubing.

Flatworms are flat, and have a hammer shaped head. You can see through them if they are on the glass with ample lighting. They do not have legs, and slither like a snake. I have plenty you can observe, but tomorrow, that should all change!

These are flat for sure but they didn't really seem to have a hammer shaped head. I'll see if I can find it again and take a pic.

I have the yellow stringy worm specifically in one rock, posted in the last pic? Is that what you are calling a flatworm. They do not seem to harm anything

Ray, If you look below that and the asternia starfish, you will see the flatworms EriK is talking about.
