**Egg Crate? Need to Borrow** TIME TO KILL.

I need to borrow some media reactors. I am going this weekend without lighting, and will be FW dipping all of my rocks. I also need pumps to run the media reactors. This is to start the eradication process of the red planaria that have been making me hate my tank. :bareteeth:

I will be filling the reactors with carbon to try and curb the toxins that the planaria release upon death. :sick:

If anyone has any spare carbon, it would also be appreciated. :thumbs_up:

After I go through this venture, I will be nuking the rest of the FW with chemicals in two weeks / month.

With steely resolve and as much optimism as one can have in this situation, I am ready to go through hell and back to finally curb this horrid infestation.
All kind words and support are greatly appreciated.

I REALLY have to thank my wife who suprisingly has taken interest in helping me with this. I think she feels bad seeing me so frustrated. I have been watching videos of my old 75 when it was packed end to end with beautiful corals. I hope to rise again. :wink_smile:

Hey Erik... give us a shout. We are right around the corner from you and have the hiatt just sitting in the garage. it is still full of the tri sided carbon, which I think would be fine to use if you rinsed it well. You would just need some tubing to hook it up. It would really be like a super big carbon reactor... you would just need a big sized pump to push water through it. We might even be able to scrounge up one of those if you need it.

Beyond that, we might have a couple of misc power heads around...

It took all day and night, but I filled up my 100g rubbermaid tub with fresh wawa. The fun part is going to be catching all of the fish.

Not sure what you need in the way of eggcrate. I don't have any full sheets anymore, but I've got a few squares and rectangles of decent size

Both will have it only I don't believe that's what they call it. It would be in the light isle, it hands below florescent tubes in an industrial setting.

Yep, that's what you have to ask for in Home Depot or Lowe's or else you have to give a very elaborate description about the sheets of hard plastic that people hang up in the ceiling over fluorescent lights that have these small square grids and you definitely don't want to answer when they ask you what you'll be using it for and then they give you a really odd look but eventually tell you to check Aisle 14 for light diffusers.

WOW, I totally missed this post. Good Luck Erik. Hope you have minimal to no loss of livestock through all of this. Id like to say I feel your pain, but ive never delt with that pest and hope to never have to. If you need a helping net, let me know. I will come over and take one side of the tank.
