Free Live Sand!

I have a 5 Gallon bucket of live sand if anyone wants it let me know or if you have any extra live rock you want to trade! the bucket has been in the back seat of my truck for one week and it needs to go! PM me i work off of 151 and 90 and live off of 151 and 1604!

not trying to shoot u down, but how is live sand thats been in the back seat of a hot truck still living? i guess ls is shipped over long periods of time and out of the sea and its still living.

if its not living sand, it would make a great cichlid or tropical community freshwater substrate!

It was live sand but its been in bucket for awile so I dont know how that works!

well, the live arragonite sand at the petstores sit for a while but they have an expiration date on them. they are also sealed away from the pollutants in the air. dust and whatnot have probably gotton into an open(im guessing) bucket and if that didnt kill whats in the sand, it most likely has phosphates and ammonia thats harmful to a reef or any saltwater. this is the reason i recommended the sand be used for freshwater tanks as freshwater inhabitants are a LOT less fragile than a delicate reef environment.

LOL. if you really want to find out if its still alive, go to a lab, pay them a bajillion dollars to answer your question, give the sand away for free, and find out its living sand AND THEN you find out its not even going into a saltwater tank...
