Hey guys and gals. It's that time of the year again!!! Needing to replace my 150 watt HQI lights. Right now there probably 8 months to a year old. They were 14000K Phenoix lights. Tank looked good, though I didnt get much growth (if any)
Looking for a place to pickup 3 new lights for a good price. Any suggestions. Im really just keeping softies NO SPS .
thanks for the help

Im going with 12k reeflux. I know alot of people use these and are happy with them. I used to have 20k and got ok growth but nothing to brag about.

Don't pee too much when you see how cheap they are! :)
I have the 14ks, and they look like 10k. I would recommend the 20k. I just recently switched over to these bulbs and so far have been very happy with them.

There is a weird line between spending 70 bucks for one light and it lasting 8 -10 months or 20.00 for a light and hoping it lasts that long. Without a PAR meter , I wonder if these lights produce what a higher dollar light would.
Let us know if your seeing any problems with these in relation to corals not likeing the light ....and/or if they burn out quick.

I used them for years. I usually don't change my light for 12-18 months. Keep your high price Phoenix and compair them visually after you use these bulbs for 9, 12 and 18 months. I find them to be a lot brighter and last a lot longer than the light bulb come with my Sun Pod. My coral and anemones do just fine with them.

Minh originally posted the link awhile back, and I dug and dug until I found it. I really like the lights. I am going to try out the 20k next. :)
So far they are great. No complaints.
