So the things I have heard is a juvenile will not pair with an anemone. Also that it would take months for a captive bred Clown to pair with the anem if they ever do it at all. If this is true, I consider myself lucky.

I added a small RBTA to my tank the same day I introduced a couple of ORA naked clowns that are about 1 inch long to my display. Estimated age of the clowns is about 6 months.

That night I checked on them and noticed 1 of the Clowns paired with the anemone already! Talk about not wasting time! All three seem very happy. Its funny that in this big tank I have been paying so close attention to this 4x4 inch section of the tank. Enjoy!

I know the clown looks too big for this anem but the anem is much larger when fully extended. The lights are off in these pics so everything is still asleep.

Beautiful clown and BTA! Nice shots too.

I never heard that tank raised clown juvies would not pair with an anem. That sounds silly to me...instinct is instinct. My Onyx pair....both sets came from GCReef and both pairs paired with an anem instantly upon introduction and mine were less than half an inch...much smaller than yours.

Yea, it has now found a new home on my rock. I did have to break a piece of rock off to get it out of it's cave.

I was not too sure. But obviously its untrue from firsthand experience. Its pretty cool to see this.

Glad it is working out well. Hopefully the RBTA finds a happy spot in the tank and flourishes.

I had two clowns that would not host my anenome. Four months and still nothing. I even posted up a printed picture of some clowns hosting an anenome to drive the point home... still no hosting.

Of course it took about a minute for the skunks, when released into the tank, to find and hide in the anenome.

I don't think of it so much as conflicting information so much as conflicting experience, or various experiences.

But that pic is absolutely stunning Ross. Love those colors!

Same difference.

Not entirely, not in this hobby. Of course just my opinion, but conflicting info to me implies information purported as fact while conflicting experiences lets one know that "hey, it worked for me", and may not work for me. Kind of like a "curbside guarantee". Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. I was just stipulating the words that I use now in response to the hobby.

Hey rick, sorry about that dude. I was thinking ross and mis-typed, and I was in a hurry to finish as I could see my boss walking over to my office. :)

I was generalizing the word "info" as being facts...experiences...anything you find online and even hear from people......it all conflicts and varies, both experiences and facts....that was my only point.
