Hey everyone I just broke down my 40 breeder tank and have lots of various equipment to sell. I don't think I'll be setting up another tank anytime in the near future so rather than have all of this stuff sit in my garage I'd like to sell what I can.
First, I have a used odyssea 250W DE fixture with 2x96w PC actinics. The PC's have about 3 months use, and the Blue Life SPS 20K has about 3 months use. The cheap odyssea ballast has been replaced with a brand new 250watt ice cap electronic ballast. This light really makes corals pop and is perfect for a 40 breeder or 36" length tank. Note: I broke off one of the four LED "moon light" connectors while cleaning the insides. $220
Second, I have a hardly used Icecap VHO 660 T5 ballast. It has a 3 prong plug and harness wired to end caps already. Also comes with heat sink. All you would need is a fixture/reflector and bulbs. It was used for about 2 months over my 40 before I switched to the above system. $130
I have four 39W T5 bulbs that have never been over a tank. They were briefly tested when received from reefgeek.com. Colors are GE 6500, Fiji Purple, Super actinic, and Blue Plus. $15 each
I have four used 39W T5 bulbs that were bought used and then put over my tank for about 2 months. I can't really say how much life they have left but were still very bright before I switched to the halide. I believe I have 2 blue plus and 2 aquablue from ATI. Take them all off my hands for $10
I have an octopus skimmer NW-110 that was used in my tank for about a year. It was purchased from aquarium designs. Unfortunately I broke the PVC tubing from the needle wheel pump to the skimmer while dismantling the tank. It might be repairable as the pump still works great, but if not then a replacement pump would come with the replacement tubing needed. The actual reactor and cup are in great condition. $50
I also have lots of additional equipment that could get someone starting out on their feet. I have pumps, koralias, heaters, algae scrapers, nets, reactors, various fittings, a refractometer, hydrometer, test kits and some other stuff I probably can't think of. I'd be willing to let go of all of it to a beginner for a lump sum or listing each piece individually if there is any interest.
Please PM me or post if you have any questions or would like for me to clarify anything. Located in NW San Antonio. Would be willing to meet anyone halfway or deliver if distance is reasonable. Thanks!
