I am sure we've all had our "Should of..." moments. Maybe we can post some here to help us think of something BEFORE it happens...

I'll start first...

I should have put my DJ Light strip high enough so my two year old can not turn off the back up pump and overflow the sump!!

I should have spent the extra time aquascaping so i wouldn't have to go back and rearange things for better flow. And i should have bought enough powerheads the first time so i diddn't have a low flow areas.

Should have let my first salt tank cycle before adding fish and corals.

Should have NOT carpeted my stand on my first big boy tank...lol

Should have measured better on my closed loop on my first big boy tank to avoid 20 couplings on the same line

Should have not sold my CSKIM skimmer for $50 because the following week I found a brand new replacement pump in the new house ($90 value) arghhhhh! Go figure. What's the chances on that one?

Should have joined MAAST sooner.

Should have listened to BigBird when he said "you might want to get rid of that little piece of hair algae". The nickel sized piece turned out to be bryopsis, and I bet I harvested 100 lbs of it.

Before I tore down the tank to get rid of the bryopsis, I wish I'd taken a frag of each of my corals and put them in my 55...

I wish I'd tried setting up the Hiatt on the tank to see what it would do to the bryopsis.

How many more?

We should have dipped those zoas before we gave all our zoas Nudibranchs.

Should have dipped too!!!

Should not have used the same syphon hose on my two tanks, because it transferred bryopsis from my 60 gallon to my 90 gallon.

I'm just going to go ahead and jump on the Bryopsis bandwagon. The little patch of grass just looked so cuddly for my fish.

Pre-Should have - Should have blown all my money on the 60 gallon cube instead of reverting back to my Biocube.

I vote that he wins, I mean... Who challenges a tractor?!? A man! That's who.

I think most my ails would have been mitigated with another year of research before embarking on this hobby.

I could post up a laundry list of these things. Ill just settle for one of my wifes favorites.

I should have listened when I started in this hobby when she said , and I quote " I know you better than you know yourself, you dont do anything small!"
Currently running close to a 350 gallon system, sump included. Started off with a 29 gallon biocube. Who knew! ......................apparently , she did!
