How does this system handle media related software...? I have had my eye on one for some time. My only reservation about it is the lack of ability to upgrade components. How's the video card?

handles flawlessly. this was the top of the line when i bought it just less than 1 year ago. it even has handled what few games ive threw on it (steam, diablo, etc). other than a hard drive failure there is no need to upgrade anything on it.
in your line of work im surprised you dont already have one. its a must for you IMO.
i have tons of "extra" software that comes with it too
the only reason im getting rid of it is that i got rid of my 13" macbook pro last week. now im getting rid of this and want to upgrade to only own a 15" macbook pro.

I have always just built my own PC's so that I could maximize the hardware...BUT the IMAC really caught my eye when it first came out. Thanks for the info. Great price. I'm definitely considering it. I'll be in touch if I get the "go" light.

10 minutes on osx and you will never want to touch a pc again. our marketing dept just switched here and they claim productivity has almost doubled. zero downtime now
no worries though, im still kinda on the fence about selling neways. i could likely get more on ebay but would rather hook someone up i know. ill probly cry once its gone but having an imac and mbp isnt really sensible, and im getting that way in my old age haha
