Can pistol shrimp pop like a revolver? When my lights are off, I hear popping. Alot of popping. It's fast, which leads to my question. Can pistol shrimp "fire" in rapid succession?

Very cool video. When I had one it would get alittle crazy trying to get my giant cleaner shrimp. Sometimes you could hear it every few seconds.

Mine did that. And only at night I would hear the popping

Do you have clowns? My female tomato pops her jaw, the web says they like to Do it as it stretches their ligaments in their jaw

I thought pistols popped once or twice. If you hear them in more succession I read to look for mantis.

Maybe you have an automatic pistol shrimp? jk

when i heard constant clicking it ended up being a mantis. I put some brine in there one day and he shot out the rock and shot right back in.
