As Captain Phil would say, "This is bad, bad, bad!".

Opened the door to my fish room today to see my mystery wrasse laying on the ground.

I had egg crate on top of my light rack, but there's a 3" gap (height wise) between the aquarium edge and rack. He hit it at the right angle and made it through.

This coupled with the 80% coral loss earlier this week is testing my resolve. :bareteeth:

Blah :(
Here's the thing:
we're all way to far in to get back out. Not much resolve needed. lol

It will be rough for awhile as you tear the thing apart, dry your rocks and have all the work and nothing to look at.
Then you start over and it gets to be fun again.

I know there's not much of a bright side but now you can gather all that knowledge up and start a new and better tank. I wish I could start over and apply what I know now

That's what irks me the most. I was going to add some skirting to the light rack that would attach to the tank edges to prevent something like this. I just needed to get my current tank down first to make the upgrade and improvements.

Yeah, it sucks right now, but my new tank will be like Steve Austin (not the wrestler), better, strong, faster.

Thanks all. I wasn't trying to throw a pity party or anything. I was just venting.

When our center brace fell in we felt this way also. It took a long time for our tank to come in and it seemed like it was never going to be the same. It was all a blessing in hindsight. I was actually able to fix a few problem areas I had and get the tank and sump the way we wanted. Take your time and use the knowledge you didn't have when you first set up your tank. We're glad it worked out the way it did...

Man that really bites. The key to all of this is to know why it happens to prevent it later. I think you have that covered. Good Luck with the new tank plans.

Thanks a lot guys! I think I got my wind back in me this morning. The wife took the kid over to a friends house, and I was able to so some maint. on the 90 and 60 gallon. Don't know about y'all, but I actually like doing stuff like cleaning the glass, testing for params., checking filters, etc. It lets me clear my head and relax. It also gave me a second wind and now I can't wait to get the 120 upgrade started.

Thanks for the frag offers everyone. The new tank will still be sps dominant, but will have fewer acros and more zoas, lps, and clams to get a better overall mix.
