What is it called and where do you get it in San Antonio?

Thanks in advance.

Weld on 16 is by far my favorite. Just picked up a 5 oz tube from Regal Plastics for 6.50

the difference between weldon 4 and 16 is the consistancy. The weldon 4 is much more like water whereas the weldon 16 is more like honey. The watery ones are much more difficult to apply imo, as well as is only for perfectly fitting pieces. The honey or #16 is better for non perfect fitting pieces (which is always in my case) The weldon 4 dries much quicker as well and it takes 24 hours for the #16 to cure fully. they do both dry to be waterproof so long as the pieces are attached together properly. They also work on the same priniciple... taking the acrylic polymers from each peice and intertwining them and in essence "welding" the two pieces of acrylic together and making it one.

thanks for the replies guys. I would be using it on broken pieces. So I'm guessing the 16 might be the one to get...?

Make sure your edges match up good and are not too scruffy. Otherwise leak city.

I have used weld on 4 for cracks where it would seem no glue could penetrate and the #4 just fills the crack beautifully. If you have a perfect seem (like a piece that has cracked or split) then weld on 4 can rebond the two matching surfaces. I haven't used #16 so I can't say what would be best. jmtc

You could go with some weld-on 4 mixed with 16, it will be a little thicker, but still be a good flowing liquid. You could also run 16 on the inside, then 4 on the outside after the 16 has cured. HTH
