Here let me just rattle off some ideas....

Does it run at all?
How full is your tank of gas?

If your tank is full, drain it down at least halfway. Fill it up with new gas, and try to start it. If it doesn't start, pull the little air cleaner off and pour new gas into the carb directly. Try to start it again.

If that doesn't work, get some starting fluid, pull your plug, and spray a small shot of starting fluid in there. Put the plug back in and try it. If it still won't start, replace the plug and try again.

It's a simple engine, and the fix is quick and easy!

Small motors should be easy....., but not always the case

On my Troy built trimmer

Ive cleaned the carb
Repalced the hoses and push bulb
New gas/oil mix
New spark plug

Still will not run. Driving me nuts.

Angelo I also have Honda equipment. Im going to take my trimmer to a place on Bandera near 1604, they repaired my troy built honda mower last year and it runs like a champ.

I will get their # for you and post it on here a later today.

I usually check the carb first, you can usually find a rebuilt one on the net pretty cheap, about the cost of new gaskets. Also had good luck finding parts and service at James lawnmower on rigsby.

Just ordered the whole new carb kit from Plano Equipment (online). Mustang equipment on 281 and 1604 has Honda parts too.

I do lawnmowers and other small engines. I'm a heck of a lot cheaper than any shop too. If you still need help feel free to PM me.

Honda runs but not smoothly. Tune up conducted 14-16 months ago. Couldnt start mower at all about 2 months ago until heavy use of starter fluid. On occasion still need to use starter fluid, have added fuel additives to fuel in mower and gas can. Also both blades need to be sharpened.

Sounds like it needs to be decarbonized depending on how old the mower is. Most people don't like doing it because it takes too much time and is not included in tune up. Could also be junk stuck in the needles, hole in the diaphragm. Just tossing guesses out there.

I used to LOVE Honda mowers. Then parts got insane. I still have one that needs a blade clutch. $150 for a clutch for a 10 year old lawnmower - how does THAT make sense?

BTW, you can repower from Northern Tool pretty inexpensively.
