Kind of a sad day today. Just spent 5 hours undoing 2 years worth of growth today.
In order to avoid reintroducing unwanted algaes, I decided to clip, chip, and chop all of my sps and attach to new ceramic bases. This was also needed because on closer inspection, many of my sps colonies had tons of AEFW egg sacks near the bases.
I'm hoping this can also increase my chances of completing this treatment without losing whole colonies, since I was able to make multiples of each coral. Guess time will tell.
First the sad part. This was my very first sps frag:

Here's the remnants:

Then the new frags were placed on egg crate:

Then a betadine mixture of 3ml per liter of saltwater was added:

After 25 mins the entire rack was placed in a different tub w/clean saltwater:

Each frag was then washed in 3 different buckets of saltwater and placed into qt:

Of course all the frags looked stressed, but so far nothing looks too catastrophic. The next round of treatment will be this coming Friday. The liverock from the main tank will be pulled this week, in order to begin the cooking process.
