I was bored and thanks to Kevin I had some good material to redo the rack that jack and I built with a too thin acrylic.

I used a 2/6 board as a jig and after cutting several 4.5" strips started drilling holes. Oh, this was sooo boring so I only did two tiers, and came up with a new and novel way to use the third level without drilling holes.

I sectioned off several sections at about three inches each.

Jose and Mizeny introduced mr to these little tiles instead of the traditional frag plugs.

If I frag zoas onto the center tile and allow them to grow put to the other tiles... All I would have to do is pull out a tile and pass it on to another maastard, replace the tile and wait.

I've got like four different zoas that I like that I've placed into this "zoo farm" set up.

Scroll down and tell mr what you think.

And you can see that I've got three green tort colonies that are taking up entirely too much space. They are sitting in the largest section for the "farm" areas, you can see their tips on the left, and then the one on the top shelf.

You know what? Working with acrylic and weld on is surprisingly easy and fun.

I wouldn't mind doing a quality product soon, like a fish trap.

I got them from hd, soaked for a few weeks and scrubbed them good. They're all natural stone tiles, maybe 8 dollars for 144 tiles.

I put a scopas tang in there but he hasn't touched it. I'm pretty bad at cleaning glass.

But now you've got me thinking that I've got to up my maintenance schedule.

Thick acrylic is much more fun to work with. Glad you had to drill the holes this time!!

Oh I hated drilling those holes.

Thanks guys. If it wasn't for the hades inspired temperature of my garage I'd have gone the extra mile but as it was I must have lost five lbs laboring over the rack.

You know the old adage that innovation is the result of a lazy mind... Maybe I just made that up but it fits. I got really tired of drilling holes. I don't think I have the right lights to grow that deep although it seems as if the zoas are opening.

I like the tile section too. The regular looks very classy but I like the different look of the tiles.
You know your cute little tiles remind me of something interesting I learned about heavy metals... I'll start a new thread.
