I am looking for a large torch coral (or a smaller one in a cool color) to be my fake anemone in my fake Caribbean biotope.

For trade I have a beautiful super green medium size Hammer

I am also willing to sell the green hammer coral outright instead of trading for $ reduced to $45

Sorry submariner. Nice stuff but I am trying to go with a 'theme' this time around (Caribbean) so I will have to pass...

I can't believe this is still available. We have one just like it and it's a great focal point of our tank. If I could figure out where to put it, this would be at our house already. ;)

Thanks Kristy. It is super nice. I think it was the first time I ever bought an 'expensive' coral (meaning over 50 bucks - lol)
I got it for the clowns to host in when we had Moby, the tang, but they prefered to trash my Duncans instead.

It's tough to say how big because it can expand so much. The skeleton is shaped like a 4-leave clover and clover edge to clover edge for the skeleton alone it is about 2". So 2" x 2" for the skeleton and then it can double if you count the tentacles/soft parts (so 4" x 4" when fully expanded).

I don't think it's super happy in it's current location and because my tank is so full with stuff (emergency downsizing from 125g to 75g) I don't really have many options for moving stuff around.

Reduced for quick sale:
$40

I am in town Wednesday to meet some people. Can bring it along then.

Do you ever see sweepers coming off it?

Europhyllia

what do sweepers look like?

it seems like the tentacles themselves can change shape quite a bit. It used to be very compact in the old tank but now it seems to be 'reaching' a lot and the halfmoons and tentacles stretch out more.

Sweepers are generally thinner than the regular tentacles. I've read that they only come out at night, but other sources say only when the coral is threatened, and still other sources say only when its hungry... so you may never see them, lol.
