That's not really a surprise, sightings aren't all that uncommon, and with more and more boaters, and MUCH cleaner water off of the NE, it is to be expected. I grew up at the beach in S. Jersey. The water quality is several magnitudes cleaner than it was when I grew up there.

It is something isnt it. Ive heard of them be spotted in the NE before. It is becoming more common. The waters are becoming warmer though. It is odd behavior, because great whites are cold water sharks. Interesting watching hurricanes go further north every year as well. I like watching Nat Geo and discovery and watching those what if shows. For Example " Cat 5 Hurricane hits Long Island"
