well im getting a new aquarium next week, pretty much have everything to have it running its going to be a 180 gallon bowfront, so its much deeper, dont know what lights to get for it, right now i am using Sundial T5HO lights but those are only four light fixtures, im looking into getting the Nova Extreme Pro, with 6bulbs on it, Or find a company that makes a fixture with 8 T5 bulbs and ive also seen The Combos that come with The T5's and MHL, need yalls help, what do you all recommend for my corals thank you

I have a 175g bowfront and went with LEDs. However, before I decided to go with LEDs, I was going to do either 3 400w MH or 1 400w MH and 2 250w MH both with actinic supplementation (T5 or VHO). If your tank is anything like mine, it's about 30" deep which IMO is a little too deep for T5's only. I looked at a lot of the all in one fixtures but I didn't see much in the way of 400w MH lamps.

I would go with 250w if its only 30" tall. You may not be able to grow the higher light demanding corals on the bottom but with 400w you might need a chiller. The reeflux 12k bulbs are pretty popular if you decide to go metal halide.

Post some pics when you set it up please.
