Allied Plastics Supply has great prices and great customer service.
I ended up getting a sheet in the perfect shade of blue for $40 less than a close competitor would have charged.
On top of that they will cut it up free of charge for me.
They also were so kind to give me a small piece for free of the same kind so I could find out what different treatments (sanding etc.) would look like before I get my order.
If you need acrylic, check with Allied. They're awesome.

my first choice for acrylic as well. if they dont have it in stock, they can get it and i would rather wait for them to get something than buy from somewhere else...

sell pieces cut to size, it is just a little more expensive than buying a full sheet.

Jack and I were going to get a 4' by 4' piece to build a few frag racks. Might be able to get it cheaper when we pick up if youre in for the group thing.

No, I was talking about Rueben. If he wanted to go in on the sheet.
Glad you said something, I've only one more hour here before I head to the casa. I'll call the glass place now.

I have a 12" by 72" remnant that I will use for testing sand paper. But I'm sure I can figure out if it works or not on the first foot or two and leave the paper on the rest.

i could manage to take some scrap of your hands, unless you want to give it to the boys for their project. Whats the thickness?

you know what. I didn't even think about the thickness.
I purchased it for my shadowbox project and it's only 1/8".
Sorry Ruben :(
Too thin for those other types of projects I'm sure!
I actually don't have much scrap other than a couple of feet of that piece I mentioned.
36"by72" will be for my shadow box project. The other piece is 24"by 48" - perfect if I ever want to make a shadowbox for a 75g tank so I am saving it.

I have worked with Allied for years with medical grade thermoplastics and have the same positive experiences and feedback. Is Ruben the guy here in SA?

I went to allied yesterday and got a four by four eighth inch. Too thin IMO for a calflow. Should have gotten the quarter inch as I'm sure we will have plenty left.
Funny guys up there and good customer service. Second the sponsor bit.
