This is my new bc29. This is being setup for a pair of GSM clowns. So far the cube is stock with crushed coral substrate and some nice rock I got from carong.

You should have kept some of that awesome dragons breath! Do you want some back? It would look nice since you're going for the macro look. :)

what is the fabulous fuzzy thing? mushrooms?
txg8gxp
Thu, 1st Jul 2010, 01:12 PM
Lavender hairy mushroom I believe they are called. Saabtech has alot of them. They are pretty cool, I feed them a big chunck of squid and they went nuts....it was pretty cool. It's cool to have some shrooms, because I would never allow anything like that in my 57g.

Watch out for those palys. They grow like weeds. I've been trying to get rid of them for over a year.

Yea, they seem to grow like crazy. But I'm totally fine with that...only in this tank. They have only been in that spot for a week or two and they are already growing on the rock. I don't mind if the stuff grows everywhere. I even added some xenia. I want it all over grown and crazy looking. Now all I need is GSP, Yellow star polyps, and maybe even a kenya tree.

Ok.....I'm super excited. I got a small anemone from kevin(saabtech). It was too crazy, as soon as I put it in the tank the male rushed right over and setup camp. The male loves it's new buddy, it just stay playing in the anemone now. :) Very cool.

Make sure the clown doesnt "love" the anem. to death, can be a problem if the clown is too big for the anem. and keeps hosting in it without giving it a break

Good point, something to look for...but so far they both seem to like it.

thats the same size clown that hosted it in my tank. it should fair well. and maybe some time it will split and the clown will host in the two neighboring anemones.
