As far as finding a dobie, I've seen several up for adoption from various dog rescue groups and shelters. When I was looking for a dog last fall, I saw a couple beautiful ones at an adoption event that was out at the Rim shopping center. Check out www.petfinder.com (http://www.petfinder.com) . It also has all the rescue groups and shelters. From purebreeds to mixes, from puppies to older dogs. That's where I found my German Shephard with a GSD rescue group. You can search craigslist, but there are a lot of scammers on there including people who take/adopt dogs from people on CL and then turn around and try to sell them. There are also usually listings in the local newspaper.
