I believe Ed at Phenomenal Aquatics/Wolf Reef has a Butterfly, I think it was a Tahitian. If he doesn't have it, he can probably get one for you. Give him a call at (210)334-8372, but pardon his mess, he is remodeling.

Another sponsor alternative- Gabe had a Racoon butterflyfish.... AD also had a butterfly, not sure of the type. I think a lot of butterflys will eat aptasia, but are not reef safe. I am not sure what type of tank you had.

AD often has filefish of different types-- give them a call, and they can probably hook you up!

Bluezoo has these fish available right now. They have had them available for months. I would much rather buy them from a local reefer though. I saw that two people were selling these fish on the for sale section. By the time I saw them they were already sold. sigh

There's a place out here by me called Birddog Catfish and he has two of the filefish. It's right off 46 and 281 by Starbucks.

Why are you trying fish to control aptasia? With buttflies, it's hit or miss if they will control it. Your best bet is to get peppermint shrimp. They have better odds of aptasia control than a butterfly. Also they're reef safe.

Well, I don't want shrimp in that tank. The shrimp in the past would steal food from my anemones, it was really annoying. I've also heard that peppermints will attack any kind of anemone, even anemones that host clownfish. I have heard of this particular butterfly is easy to get to adapt to aquarium life. I have also read that it is hands down one of the best butterflyfish for controlling aiptasia in the home aquarium.
