For those of you that have not seen these clams. I bought them from MAAST members and having them for awhile now.The left one is a Derasa about 10" and the one on the right is a Squamosa around 14"

Wow, just beautiful.

Can you post a pic of the Derasa please, with the shell visible, along the mantle?

I'm considering getting a Derasa, but every one I see for sale just looks a little off, compared to other varieties. I wasn't sure if its the Derasa, or poor specimens. Yours obviously is doing wonderful! But it does look... wider, I guess? So maybe it is just something about Derasas.

That picture from my old tank,but it does looks a little brown lately .B/C it had moved to a shade area. You're welcome to check it out in person anytime,since we not that far from each other. REEF2U also has a very beautiful and large as of yesterday.

Very nice Giau! What size were they when you first recieved them and how long have you had them?

Edit- Sorry about the spelling. I fixed it.

They were big already when i got them, but they got alot bigger now. I have them for about a year.

I'd love an excuse to see the tank. :)
I'm infatuated with my clams, it will be neat to see some that have been in good care for a long time.

i gave your crocea to mike (txreefer) when i got rid of the big tank and i dont know who he gave it to

Thanks Ace, I had a Gigas, squamosa, and derasa that were traded or sold off at different points. The Gigas went to a guy that had a chinese restaurant I think.
