So my Mom went out and bought one. So its not exactly mine but since her house is about 10 minutes away I will finally have something decent to take macro shots with. I went Georgia Okeefe on her flowers today but cant wait to get some coral shots. Hopefully she can bring it over next weekend as I am working nights this week. Also any suggestions on a good macro lens?

Might be worth talking to Cliff about this:

I just got that same model a few months ago. Had a thread going, and some members gave me some good info about micro lenses.
I'm saving up for the 105mm f2.8 micro/nikkor lens right now.

In the meantime, if you're using the 18-55mm kit lens, just get a tight a shot as possible. Then enlarge it on the pc. With the high resolution, you can blow it up a bit w/o any pix-elation.

The 105mm micro lens is great for very close up macro shot, but your gonna spend around $800. For the same price I went with the 18-200mm lens for around the same price. It shoots really good close up shots but is also a very good everyday lens.
