Don't know how it happened, but my anenome split again. I now have four in there and a green BTA.

One will go to Z28PWR and the other will be put up on the FS forum...

My question is how the heck to I get them out of there???

I have like three on a large rock at the top. I put a rock up at the top that I had hoped I could get one to migrate to and then give it over to Mizeny until it removed itself from it, but they're not doing what I want them to do.

Any suggestions? I heard of putting them into a bucket and letting the chilling water motivate them to move from the rock. Does this work and when does it become too cold?

It takes forever. There are a couple ways but it takes awhile either way. You can slowly try and pull them off the rock- Should take a good 30 minutes or you are probably pulling too hard. You can point a powerhead at it and hope that it starts to move which also stresses them out. If you can take the rock out you can repeatedly dip them in and out of the water(have only heard of this working, it didnt work for me though). Pretty much make them mad and they will begin to move for you. I have also heard of the ice cube technique probably the same principle as you stated above though.

I don't know if it will work on a bta but I used to put a small hole in the lid of a cold bottle of drinking water and point it at the foot on clams and it worked really well.

It works kind of like when you put your foot into a cold swimming pool, cringe and pull it back...

Like a squirt bottle?

Okay, that sounds like it has promise. I wonder if it will unduly stress them out, but then again anything I've tried yet seems stressful.

Allan, I've lost a couple doing what you are trying to do.

The best solution I've found is to suspend them over some water in a bucket. After a few minutes, they will stretch out until they touch the water. Eventually, they will drop off. It man take a couple of hours.

Cover the bucket to keep it from getting too cold (air flow), and occasionally keep the foot wet. Make sure the water in the bucket stays warm (mix with new tank water.

If you get it too cold, you may lose it. Happened to me.
