Can both of these be on the same pump and linked together? Currently I have a Mj900 on the reactor and would like to take the output from that to my UV. Is that enough flow for UV or should I separate them?

depends on the individual UV sterilizer that you are running. look at the manufacture recommended gph, it all has to do w/ "dwell" time in the unit, if its too fast it will barely get anything out, too slow... cant think of what happens then lol

yea thats what I was thinking. I have a turbo twist UV. I need to check the manufacturer's info on it.

Both Reactors and UVs need the water flowing through slowly to assure maximum exposure time to the UV or media in the reactor. Id think anything over 200-250 gph would be to much for either. Doesnt meen they wont work with a pump of a higher GPH, just wont work as well.

mark i run my maxi jet 1200 threw a carbon reactor than to a 40w uv the only bad thing is to much head on it ... the slower the better IMO

I have my 39Wturbo twist running off of my smaller pump, but I can't say that I'm entirely happy with the results.

I've considered putting another smaller pump in the sump and running a continuous loop from, and to, the sump through the UV. Slower flow to ensure maximum penetration.
