saw this article on coral science and thought i would post for others to review. there are quite a few on this list that are very popular in the hobby and i suspect the prices on these are going to be rising in the near future.

I wish working together was an option, but the people pushing this have an agenda they are trying again. With a new administration some think they can get this passed, and save the world. Coral Magazine had some good articles surrounding this subject. If they where so sincere they would help to setup coral farming in all these third world countries to help people preserve what they have for today and tomorrow. Remember these people have no use for pretty little fish and corals, that doesn’t feed there families. Fragging corals, collecting fish, culturing live rock does. Oceans around the world are like one large aquarium, we need to help keep them free of pollution which seems to damage more coral reefs than any other item. At least that is what I use to read until people got on the kick about climate change killing off our reefs. (Another argument for another day)

Good to know that the experts on the oceans and reefs in Arizona are looking out for the rest of the world. Curious to know how the US and especially the experts in Arizona feel about Indonesia passing laws to control the wildlife in Arizona.

I've posted on this in other forums. I saw it when it first came out. Of the species listed how many do you recognize from the hobby. A. lokani, horrida, jacqulinae; T peltata, reniformis; E paradivisa, paraancora; Pavona cactus; Pocillopora danae and a few others. Then you have to realize that there are many levels on the list species of concen, threatened, etc. Then they have to prove that the piece wasn't cultured from colony established in a aquaculture facility pre listing. I don't think the sky is falling just yet but it definately bears watching.
