Looking to Drill tank.

I am looking into purchasing the 700 gph overflow box from gl*******s.com and was wondering if any of the local sponsors would be able to drill it for me since I am without the proper equipment and don't really have to much trust in my hands. I plan on practicing a bit with glass similar in width though to get the hang of it. Just wondering what the charge to drill the one hole would be and if anyone offers a sort of safety net just in case the tank breaks. You can either pm me info or post here. Thanks

if you want to do it yourself, i have several glass cutting bits. you can borrow the size you need.

if not, i think several of our local sponsors drill tanks for a fee.

Thanks, I'm still deciding on which overflow to go with so once I order it will definitely get back to you on the size.

Ok just got my overflow kit and return kit so I will be drilling two holes. I've been watching many videos and hopefully (knock on wood) this will all come out good in the end.

you will be fine, just go slow and let the bit do the work - dont push. be very careful at the end when the bit is finishing the hole, dont let it get crooked at all.

Also, put something down in the tank so when the plug falls in it doesn't bust the bottom out of the tank.

What is it best to lay the tank on top of? Also Ace would I still be able to borrow one of your glass bits sometime this weekend. It seems I didn't order the 2 3/8" bit with my overflow. Well I will start this first hole off and see how it goes. thanks
