Vegetation ID help [Archive]

This started growing a while back. It doesn't grow too quick and hasn't overtaken anything. Can anybody identify it and tell me if it is harmful?

I had something like that slow growing but it grew in a tight ball dome shaped, until I got a sailfin so 6 months of growth gone in 2 months , it never spread anywhere, no ID sorry but if similar to mine it's non invasive

The pieces I'm holding separated like that after I took them off the rock. They stay close together in the tank.

it looks like some type of Codium sp.

it could also be a type of Gracilaria sp.
