This is my first live polyphemus moth I've ever seen. It was on our front porch last night and flew inside the house.

Thanks! That last shot was a lucky one. I was holding the camera up over my head, away from my body, pointing down at the little big guy! I was keeping my fingers crossed when I hit the shutter button.

Very cool. Reminds me of the ones I used to see that were 4 and 5 inches wide. Huge! Those and cowkillers. It's been years since I've seen either....

We had one of those last weekend. Coolest moth I've seen in a long time.
