really now. how much clean-up crew do you really need.
i see so many markets selling complete "crews" for a 50g and 100g and 150g plus.
why would you really need 1 snail per gallon and 1 crab per 4-5 gallons?
thats alot of stinking stuff.
in my 125 i think i have 4 turbos and 5 margarita snails, 5 nassarius snails 2 small turbin? snails 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 fireshrimp and 1 serpent star, 5 small hermits that will kill anything for a shell! i think the real clean up crew is my bristle worms! i have hundreds of them and they do a fine job!

so again why such a large CUC?

No offense intended towards the people that sell these CUC. I understand they are in business. i believe that you keep in your tank what you are comfortable with. I have nassarius, , hermits, bristle worms and astrea snails. They do a great job. Occasionally I have to knock a hermit off one of my astreas...lol

yea. im not trying to offend anyone (thanks for the clarification) but im just having a hard time wrapping my two brain cells around having 100 plus snails, 20 plus crabs and several other units of stock in a 100 gallon tank, is that more for heavily fish stocked tanks

I don't know if it's just their recommendation or what they want to sell. We have a sponsor that maybe can clarify this for us. I have done one of those type orders before and it is not nice when you have 50 of 100 snails die...
