Was looking for some special snails that I couldn't find locally (posted in the ask a sponsor forum and inquired directly) so I ordered online from Reefs2GO.
They never contacted me but my order arrived today -incomplete.
Would have been nice if they had called and given me an opportunity to just get some more of another kind of snail rather than just send me less.
The kicker though is that they don't refund the money for the snails they didn't ship!
Can you believe it!? Not DOA. NOT SHIPPED AT ALL. And no refund! :at_wits_end:
I got store credit. As if I was going to order from them again anyway...

What a racket they have going there! I'm pretty sure the credit wouldn't cover another single purchase w/o plopping down more money?
I'm no expert at this, but could you dispute this w/your credit card company since you didn't receive the complete order? Or, is the fact that they sent something let them off the hook.
Honesty, it's experiences like yours and one that I had a few years back that keep me from ordering livestock online (except for Live Aquaria). j

I ordered through a sponsor before and when I didn't receive the full order they refunded the cost of the item to my paypals.
Because that gets me my item how???? The way I see it, it's a way for them to not have to pay shipping and you have to spend your money there. It's not an uncommon practice.

I'd be very happy to get a refund to PayPal. It's still money :) and better than not getting anything (because I don't want to order them again)

How can they charge you for a gift card, you did not order one? If a company does not have the product they can not charge your account. Where is our lawyer here on MAAST when you need him? Example: I order a pump, the company does not have it. So in lieu of crediting back my card for the full amount they charge my card and send me a gift card/store credit. "What?"

I agree with Alton. Karin I am sure you tried already, but I would hold my breath and kick my legs until they credited my $ back. If they did not send the item it is basically like stealing your $ and they cannot force you to spend your $ at their store.

I paid with PayPal. I will give them a couple of days and if they don't refund I'll file a PayPal claim. Item not received is an easy one for a refund/claim with PayPal. It will take a few weeks but I am not worried about not getting it.
I was just stunned that a company would have the nerve to do that.
Too lazy to call and tell me beforehand is one thing but expecting me to just let them have the money until I spend more there... not happening lol.

I would quote their own website to them
"If LESS than 25% of your order does not meet our health requirements, we will ship the remaining items that do on the scheduled ship date, and refund those that do not. If MORE than 25% of your order does not meet our health requirements, we will hold your order until the next shipping day. You will be notified via email."
It says that it will issue a refund--not store credit. Other places it states that either a refund or store credit will be given for DOA's.

Im sort of in the same boat but not with Reefs2Go.
Champion Lighting and supply is where I bought my salinity probe from Digital Aquatics along with the SL2 module. Everything shows instock. Eighty dollars for the module and 90 for the probe. The module came in, but no probe. Its been 2.5 months and 6 inquiries later after being told they expected them in every 2-4 weeks, I now find out that DA pulled all of their probes because of problems and havn't issued anything new. I was charged for both items and had to call them just last week to have them credit my card. So technically I paid for something and never got it. But they were nice enough to credit it as they finally admitted they have no idea when there going to get them back in stock.
Right now, im sitting on an 80 dollar module and have nothing to use it with.
