Has anyone ordered from Aquatic Connections? www.aquacon.com (http://www.aquacon.com)
I succombed to their Super Specials and bought a Tailspot Blennie, Blue Mandarin, Dwarf Seahare, orange ricordia and two super colored zoas: Japanese Superman Zoas, and Japanese Fruitloop zoas. I have a LPS 75 gallon tank with lots of color and these fit the tank.......wrong!!!
The fish arrived at 10 am- dead. The sea hare was dead. The two zoas are tan, the color of a card board box, no hint of the colors on their web site! The Orange ricordia is the only thing that looks like what I ordered and is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch in size. I called to complain and get a recording. I try 4 times over the course of 2 days during 'office hours' to get the same recording that I have called after hours. The web site has a live arrival guarantee. I e-mail them with pictures as they require and get an e-mail response. We will credit the fish only on your next order. Not likely with the shipping on my small order at $44.98. There goes $198.92 down the drain! Do yourself a favor. Avoid this vendor!

Yeah I ordered from them and then within 24 hours heard so many horror stories. I was scared. lol
I got most of what I ordered. They messed up on one item.
I emailed them about the error and never heard back from them. Lucky for me the error was that they sent me a more expensive sea fan with the same care requirements as the one I ordered.
So in the end for me I ended up with some great gorgonians at a good price. But the fact that they never can be reached if there is a problem keeps me from chancing my luck with them again.

We have heard this story before. May be we need to have a "Do not Order From this Company" Forum that memebers can check?

Thats horrible, but unfortunately seems to be all too common for them... the typical comment on RC is "they live up to their name -- AquaCON".. Sad. :(

We are always afraid from ordering on-line. We have actually only done group buys. That is not a guarantee, but we go with vendors MAASTards have used in the past.

You might be able to contest the charge with your credit card company.

They have a thread on RC, so many bad rip off stories, I wonder how they stay on line!

I had an order all loaded up in their shopping cart, and started to get second thoughts as I almost completed the order. What gets me about them is they don't indicate if the item is in stock. But, they charge you for the full order and then you have to wait on a refund if the item doesn't ship.

Best of luck and hope everything shows up as expected.
